DAY 2 PART 2 - NAMSAN CABLE CAR

10 stations away..and we reached Myeongdong station. So there's 2 way of going to the Namsan Cable Car. The first one is by walking all the way there, i heard its tiring cause its an upslope path. Second is by the Namsan Oreumi, which is an inclined elavator which will take you directly to the Namsan Cable Car. So of course we took the second way which is the Namsan Oreumi.

So to get there we came out from exit 4 of Myeongdong station, walk straight all the way till we see building named State Tower near a road junction. Turn left and walk straight all the way and Namsan Oreumi is at the very end..

This statue sits right beside the Namsan Oreumi.

The Namsan Oreumi is a free outdoor elevator that runs between the plaza in front of the Namsan Tunnel #3 Commemorative Plaza and the Namsan Cable Car. The elevator covers a distance of 140m and can accommodate up to 20 passengers. With glass on all sides, it offers a unique and convenient way to get to the cable car station. Operation hrs : 09:00-23:00 (Closed on Mondays from 9am to 2pm for maintenance)

This is the waiting area..

So we ride the elevator up..its very cool, usually elevator goes up or down, this one goes diagonally. And the higher it goes, the nicer the view.

This is what it looks like being in the elevator.

Once on top, Namsan Cable Car and its parking lot. And we can see the N Seoul Tower from there. Even though it started to drizzle..the view was breathtaking. To get to N Seoul Tower..2 ways again..one by hiking up the mountain..and another of course which we took is the Cable Car. It will take about 5mins to get to top of Namsan Park with it.

The cable car that we were going to be in soon. Looks damn scary, For someone whose afraid of height like me..its a challenge..my legs gotten jelly just by looking at how high the car goes.

The ticketing office. The cashier speaks english btw. Here's one thing i don't understand..the cashier on the other side wears a microphone headset..so when she talks her voice can be heard from the speaker on top of the counter..so then whats the purpose of the holes on the glass panel.

Hmm..anyway we bought our tickets which cost 8,000won each for back and forth round trip.

To ride the cable car we had to go to the 3rd floor, there's lift but we decided to walk up the stairs and i started snapping the top view of the cities from the staircase window. I love view from high places..gives me the ''on top of the world'' feel.

This is the 3rd floor, on the left is the waiting area..and those people are queing to go into the car. A piece of advice..be the first one to go in so that you can choose where you would want to stand. Being near to the sides of the car gives you a better view, especially the front.

There is this viewing window at the waiting area where we can see the car going up or down the mountain. Okay my legs turning jelly already..butterflies in my stomach too just by watching this..

Taken from inside the cable car..the starting point before it start moving up.

We were lucky to be the first one to go in cause we got a a nice position in front of the cable car.

Looks like a badminton court..

The other end of the cable car ride.

Check out the video i took in the cable car goin up to Namsan Park.

And finally..a few minutes later...we've reached the top. Well it wasn't that bad at all, not that frightening..i mean it was really really high but the ride was quite fast and the view was nice.

See that long stairs leading all the way down..i think if you would have been hiking up the mountain, thats where you would have come out from. Wow..think about all that muscle cramps.
So we're not quite there yet..still have to walk a short distance up the stairs and N Seoul Tower is right there.

TO BE CONTINUED....
